Update on BBC poll – repealing laws
We were happy to hear that repeal of the hunting bill won the recent BBC poll and that repealing the European Communities Act of 1972 and taking Britain out of the EU came second. We would have liked it to be first, of course, and we think many voters would have liked to repeal all six laws, but were not given the opportunity.
The poll would have been more interesting if it had included the question, is there any law on the list you would not repeal, and if so, which one? My guess is that many Britons loathe at least five of the laws.
Previous post on poll is here.
