Local and national loyalties may be shifting
The Daily Mail reports on a poll that suggests national loyalties are shifting away from Britain. It's worth reading, though I share Frederick Forsyth's opinion – "I think most of this is a mood, and moods come and go."
Less positively, one wonders, not for the first time, why people in England are so concerned about Scottish MPs voting on purely English domestic policy in Westminster when EU diktats are behind most of our laws on matters as large as immigration and as petty as labels on fruit.
It's the EU that's taking vast sums from us. It's the EU that holds Westminster in its grip, not Scottish MPs.
