The EU's tragic flaw

Thomas Lifson writes , “Like characters in an ancient Greek tragedy, players in the Airbus drama are betraying their fatal flaws, and moving, almost inevitably, toward a dénouement that will bring serious misfortune to all.”

This is the ancient tragic flaw in the EU project, but it is not Greek. It is the flaw of ignoring people, of over-regulating them, of putting government in charge when only the dynamic energies of a free people self-organizing around practical, rather than ideological goals, will accomplish great things.

There are some exceptions to this rule, but Airbus is not one of them, and neither is the grandiose EU.
