UKIP NEC elections
Britain's three main parties want to take us ever deeper into the EU. The one party that wants to take Britain out and that welcomes members from all backgrounds is the UK Independence Party. Recent reporting has emphasised negative aspects of the party. The last three weekends have seen much publicity, some of it marginal, most of it bad. This weekend saw a respite. We hope it is not the calm before the storm.
The people in most of the countries of Europe are not enamoured of the EU, but few of them have parties dedicated to loosening ties and leaving the EU. UKIP is that party in Britain, and it is vital that it manifest the qualities of integrity, democracy, and accountability that are so lacking in the EU. Any UKIP member planning to vote in the forthcoming NEC elections should pay close attention to the ethical standards of the candidates.
