BBC misses MRI story
I was listening to Radio 4 this afternoon, and hearing about American Paul Lauterbur, who has just died, I wondered what they might say about Sir Peter Mansfield of Nottingham who shared the 2003 Nobel Prize with Lauterbur for developing the MRI. As one expects from the BBC, there was not a mention of Sir Peter. Not one. Trust the BBC to avoid showing the best of the Brits, and, just as galling, to know nothing about them.
You can find more about the the development of the MRI and Aberdeen contributions to the development of the full-body MRI here. (Scroll down)
