British Muslim declares his allegiance to British values
Personal experience with Saudi Arabia’s racism, sexual violence, and jihad taught Islamist Ed Hussain that he detested them. In this excerpt from his soon-to-be-published book Hussain describes life in Saudi Arabia, and declares his allegiance to British values.
His book The Islamist will be released by Penguin on May 3. It is not only a critique of madness. It also suggests what Britain offers – a kind of goodness, imperfect though it is, that we can never truly see until it is gone.
We have a response to the virulence that Hussain describes. We've mentioned it before – Defeating the Threat of violent Islamists.
