Support British fishermen in London on Friday 4 May

British fishermen have been badly hurt by flagrantly unfair EU policies. Huge French and Spanish fishing boats have been allowed to decimate fishing stocks in British territorial waters. Now the EU has told British fishermen operating small boats that they can take less than 5% of the declining cod, while allowing the French to take 73%.

On Friday 4 May, a small flotilla of British fishermen will sail up the Thames to the Houses of Parliament to protest. They should arrive around 1:30 pm. If you show up on the banks of the Thames near Westminster, you can show your support. Flags and banners will show your spirit.

The Campaign for an Independent Britain, the RMT union and the UK Independence Party have all promised their support. Contact Stuart Gulleford for media details – e-mail: stuartgulleford@keme.co.uk
