25th anniversary of landing at San Carlos Water

Today is the 25th anniversary of the British landing at San Carlos Water, which began the successful D-day campaign to recover the Falkland Islands from Argentine aggression. We noted on 2 April the 25th anniversary of the invasion. We did not know it when we posted, but later on 2 April 2007 Argentina resumed its claims to the Islands. Falkland Islanders are British citizens and have repeatedly declared their wish to remain under British rule. It is also worth noting that the Islands have never had native inhabitants. Brits are the natives.
