Apollo lecture focuses on Stowe

blog_apollo_lecture.jpg

Apollo is the international arts magazine published in London.

This year, the theme of the decoration of the Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair is Stowe in Buckinghamshire. Apollo is sponsoring a lecture on 15 June at 6pm by Rupert Litherland, on the work of the Stowe House Preservation Trust, which is carrying out the restoration of the house's 18th interiors. Stowe was on the World Monuments Fund list (2002) for the 100 most endangered sites of significance worldwide. Its beautiful gardens were given to the nation by the public school based in the house since 1923.

Tickets cost £22.50 and include the lecture, afternoon tea or coffee, entrance to the Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair, a copy of the fair’s handbook, a gift bag of APOLLO issues and a special subscription offer. Email Isabel Andrews for tickets at isabel@apollomag.com.

The Grosvenor Fair opens on the 14th of June and runs through the 20th.
