House of Commons Committee calls a spade a spade
Parliament's European Scrutiny Committee just released a report that the new Reform Treaty is essentially the same as the EU Constitution, which was rejected by French and Dutch voters and would have been rejected by British voters if they had been allowed to vote on it.
The respected House of Commons European Scrutiny Committee concluded that the two documents are "substantially equivalent", and sharply criticised the EU's misleading effort to say they were not. In paragraph 50 the Committee stated, "We do not consider that references to abandoning the 'constitutional concept' or 'constitutional characteristics' are helpful and consider that they are even likely to be misleading in so far as they might suggest the Reform Treaty is of lesser significance than the Constitutional Treaty."
Calls for a referendum and for The Queen to refuse her Royal Assent to the Reform Treaty are building. British freedom is at stake.
