The right to self-defence

Still it is nothing short of astounding that the U.N. Human Rights Council's subcommission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights has endorsed a report denying the existence of a human right of self-defense.
Are these people mad?
As the British people learned over the course of a thousand years, often the only thing standing between them and insufferable oppression was their willingness and their ability to defend themselves.
