Support the troops says UKNDA
The United Kingdom National Defence Association (UKNDA) has called for the Government to support the troops. Leading the charge of former military chiefs and MPs is Winston Churchill.
"Successive governments have let people down. Whereas health and education have seen surges in spending, defence has seen a decline, and that needs to be reversed if we are to ensure our men and women on the front line have what they need".
"That decline in spending also means that when they come home injured there are few defence medical facilities for rehabilitation. . .in terms of compensation, they get a fraction of what a civilian would receive for injuries."
Considerable funds have been diverted to the EU military project. This is one reason that the government does not provide adequately for our soldier-citizens. Another is waste and inefficiency, which have to be corrected.
