Scots say no to Donald Trump
I respect The Donald's energy and enterprise. When he poured scorn on the UN's costly plans for the renovation of their New York building, his testimony was priceless. But sometimes he goes too far. Yesterday his development plans in Scotland were scotched by a local council.
The Aberdeenshire council overruled an earlier decision and defeated Mr Trump's £1 billion golf course development, which they described as "Disneyland".
"The plans proved highly controversial as it emerged that part of the resort would be built on a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) containing sensitive sand dunes."
