The reason for government

Sharon Chadha responded to our post on absolute rights by writing that those absolute rights “are each of ours everywhere, even if wherever we are the current government-in-residence, doesn't recognize them.”

She is absolutely right. Absolute rights cannot be given to us by government because they are not government’s to give. They belong to us as our birthright.

Governments are established to protect them.
