Remembering the struggle for property rights

We've written about the struggle, for property rights, which was principled and self-interested and, since success often meant the difference between eating and starving, fierce. Those struggles included the people's battle to retain their rights to the commons - in earlier days, the commons might mean grazing lands and forests; in our day it might mean broadband.
