Lord Leach on EU's malign influence
During a debate in the Lords yesterday, Lord Leach of Fairford said that "a recent poll of 1,000 UK chief executives found that more than half of them thought that the benefits of the single market are now outweighed by the costs of EU regulation."
EU regulations have already hit small businesses very hard. Big business, which can absorb the costs, has been relatively immune until now.
The people who suffer most are the employees who lose their jobs as a result of the high costs of regulation and the men and women who can't find a job because businesses struggling to survive government regulations and taxes do not have the resources to expand.
