Musical memories

Watching a television fundraiser recently in America, I learned that the thank you gift to large subscribers was a CD of 60s and 70s music. Listening to the clips, I was swept back in time to the British artists and bands I used to listen to -

Petula Clark, Lulu, Peter and Gordon, the Animals, the Searchers, the Who, the Moody Blues, Dusty Springfield, Sandy Shore, the Kinks, Procul Harum, Marianne Faithfull, the Small Faces, Manfred Mann, Tom Jones, Billy Jay Kramer, Donovan, the Easy Beats, the Hollies, the Spencer Davis Group. . .

Missing from the CD were the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
