The more they attacked us, the stronger we became

"The more they attacked us, the stronger we became," said Cpl Bob Lewis, 25, a quietly-spoken Welshman from Swansea. "Everyone responded to the challenge, even the youngest soldiers."

The Telegraph describes how Paras have been fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Since 2001, violent Islamists and their supporters have carried out more than 5,000 terror attacks in places as far apart as Thailand and Spain, India and North Carolina, France and Lebanon, Russia and London, Bali and LA. Thousands of men, women, and children from all over the world have been murdered or hurt.

In response to their attack in New York City in 2001, the United States, Britain, and allies entered Afghanistan to remove the Taliban Government, which had shielded the terrorists.

We salute the bravery of British soldiers.
