Mary Ward - living the mystery with "an open circle of friends"

Mary Ward was an indomitable woman from Yorkshire. In the 17th century she established an active order of women who lived as lay women with private vows. The "spiritual sisters" survived persecution. Today they teach girls in Loreto-run schools and colleges and celebrate their 400th anniversary. Wonderful.
