Remembering their courage - ANZAC DAY

Today is a day to remember the courage of Australians and New Zealanders who over the course of the 20th century repeatedly risked their lives to defend freedom and to protect men, women and children who were under attack.

Aussies and Kiwis came to the aid of free people in both world wars. Along the way they created a legend of sacrifice and “can do”. The first Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed at Gallipoli on the dawn of April 25, 1915.

On April 25th Aussies and Kiwis gather at dawn to honour the fallen on ANZAC Day, and to pay tribute to all those who made searing sacrifices to defend liberty.
