Mortimer and Rumpole remembered

Sir John Mortimer, the creator of Rumpole at the Bailey, was remembered at a memorial service at Southwark Cathedral.

We remember Mortimer here.

Labour lords were in attendance at the service. We wonder if they remember how disgusted Mortimer became with Labour's attacks on freedom.

On a happier note, Mortimer drank a glass of champagne with breakfast nearly every day.
