A British native

life_thomas_daphne_mezereum.jpg

Daphne mezereum, "a British native valued for its frost-resistant, fragrant, early flowers".
The drawing and the text come from Graham Stuart Thomas, The Garden Through the Year.

Cat noticed three of these natives exhaling their sweet scent while she was walking in Portland, Oregon. Their 'starry' blossoms were shades of pink and white.
