Shoulder to shoulder in remembrance on football fields tomorrow

Prince William led the England football team to victory in Fifa poppy battle.

Fifa had dismissed players' appeal to wear poppies in honour of Remembrance Day.

We are glad to say the players were prepared to defy the ban.

"Prince William wrote to Fifa in his role as president of the Football Association. He expressed his dismay at the decision not to allow England players to wear the commemorative poppies at a friendly match.

After the Fifa retreat, the Scottish FA said Scotland players would also wear the symbols for their game against Cyprus on Friday. The Welsh FA is considering its position before Wales takes on Norway."

Players will wear the poppies on their black armbands.

Thank you, players and Prince.
