Mottisfont Abbey

Don't know why, but I'm not interested in the interiors of most big houses. I like Mottisfont's grey eminence from the garden.

Before the abbey was built in the 13th century, and long before its dissolution and transformation into a country house, local people held their moots around the font which was their spring.
