'Galloping Gold in Greenwich'

GB’s first gold in 60 years of horsing around. It's done in style! Peter Charles goes clear indeed. Oh my word, in Chad Le Clos's dad's words, these are quite UNNBERRLIEEVABLE scenes at Greenwich.

Well, well. Team GB have a showjumping gold against the best in the business. Step forward Nick Skelton, Ben Maher, Scott Brash and Charles. . .Charles is celebrating by galloping round the arena, hat in hand. . .

Some people have said that achieving a gold in an individual event is much more difficult than a team gold, but with a team, everyone has to be perfect.

It's nice to see that this event, which is physically demanding of both horse and rider, involves some older athletes in the Olympics. We think we see a few handsome grey hairs.
