OUR RESPONSE
to violent Islamists
and their supporters
who threaten our lives, our values, and
our children

The threat comes from violent men who arrogantly claim to know what God wants, and who seek to impose their poverty-stricken, abusive belief system on the whole world. They are violent Islamists and they are attacking moderate Muslims as well as non-Muslims. If you are here because you would like to know how we can defeat the threat, continue reading. “Only a foolish optimist can deny the dark realities of the moment.” Yet we have many virtues and powers that will give us strength.

Our values and powers are freedom of conscience, rational thought, compassion, freedom of speech, truthfulness in word and deed, respect and affection for others, the making and keeping of promises, the rule of just law, representative government, hospitality, hope, and the willingness to die if necessary to preserve our freedoms, protect our country, and save the innocent. These are but a few of our strengths. They belong to all of us.

Relying on our ideas and powers we will respond to the threats of violent Islam by implementing methods that are practical, rational, spiritual, and forceful. We have grouped those methods into three sections:

1) Just Laws

2) The Story

3) Home

It is impossible for Britain to observe both Common Law and the laws of Islamic sharia. They are diametrically opposed.

Common Law, the law that belongs to us all, protects us all. If we do not defend our Common Law, we will leave every Brit, including British people of the Muslim faith, vulnerable to violent Islamists. We suggest the following tough but fair actions:

1)Apply Common Law to everyone equally

The Metropolitan Police ignored the incitement to murder being made by violent Islamists and their supporters after publication of the Danish cartoons, despite laws requiring their arrest. It was Muslims such as Dr Ghayasuddin Siddiqui who demanded action from the police, asserting that the demonstrators are "trying to incite others and to make criminal acts legitimate. The time has come to say enough is enough".

As the Charter of Liberties affirmed in 1100, no one is above or beyond the law. British Common Law is truly "common" because it applies to everyone. There can be no turning a blind eye to crimes or ignoring “no-go” ghettos where Brits who need our protection are powerless before violent Islamists.

Laws that prohibit the genital mutilation of girls must be enforced.

Supposedly minor exclusions from Common Law should not be permitted. The exemption for the inhumane slaughter of animals for halal meat must end, since it is not consistent with Common Law, which reflects British values regarding the treatment of animals. Consequently, halal meat would not be served in schools, prisons, or other public institutions.

We must act firmly and consistently to affirm that Common Law is the law of our land. Those given responsibility for seeing the laws are obeyed must fulfill their responsibilities. To maintain equality under the law, race laws that judge people by their skin colour rather than by their character and their actions should be repealed.

Under Common Law we respect other people's faiths, but respond with the force of the law when they are doing something with their faith that is violent.

The incitement to murder in the cause of Islam is occurring in schools, universities, mosques, prisons, on the internet, and abroad, where young Muslims are being indoctrinated. Any person, including any imam, editor, publisher, or reporter who advocates violence must be charged with incitment to crime, brought to trial, and/or deported to his country of origin. Any newspapers, televisions, publishing houses or mosques advocating hate or violence or an Islamic takeover of Britain should be closed down. The publishers of textbooks for children that teach Wahhabi Islam, or Salafism, which promote violence, should be sued for inciting harm, and the textbooks should be removed from British schools.

Laws should be enacted to protect the media and individuals against lawsuits so that they can report the truth without risking ruinous suits.

2)End the official state screed of multiculturalism

Multiculturalism encourages victimhood, alienation, and violence by saying any culture goes and British values do not matter, and by the provision of separate housing, faith schools, language translation, support for mosques, grants to ethnic groups and the abandonment of border controls. All these must end.

3)Insist that practitioners of Islam in the West adapt to the 21st century. End Wahhabi and Salafi funding of mosques and hate-mongering in prisons

Not one Saudi or Wahhabi or Salafi dollar or £ should be allowed to pay for mosques in the UK. No Wahhabi- or Salafi-funded Korans should be allowed anywhere in the prison system. No Salafist imams should be allowed in the armed forces.

4) Refuse to allocate public money for Islamic schools or madrasses

Britain is by law a Christian nation. Public money ought not to be allocated for Islamic schools or madrasses. This mirrors the situation in Islamic countries where there is no funding for Christian schools.

5)Reform the welfare laws

Welfare hurts children and infantalizes adults.

It has been understood since the 19th century in Britain, and since the 1990s in America, that providing no incentive to marry or for couples to stay together to bring up their children harms children most of all. They often grow up to be unhappy, poor, and criminal. It is mad to maintain government policies with so awful a result.

Britain's welfare state attracts large numbers of people, then reduces them to hostile dependence, marginalizing them so they feel excluded from the country's creative energy. This is particularly true for unemployed men, but welfare has a negative effect on the prosperity of everyone.

We recommend that welfare be drastically reduced. A portion of the money now spent on the dole would be applied to job training and job searches.

7) Change immigration rules to protect young people from forced marriages; prohibit the marriage of cousins, whether cross-cousin (related through the mother) or parallel-cousin (related through the father).

Change immigration rules on marriage to protect young Asians from forced marriages, and prevent the creation of enclosed and violent ghetto communities by prohibiting cross-cousin and parallel-cousin marriage.

In addition we recommend the following changes, which have been positively incorporated in Denmark, and which we quote almost verbatim from Migration Watch UK

(a) In order for a citizen of Britain and an immigrant from another country to qualify for marriage, both parties must have reached the age of 24;
(b) It must be clear that the marriage is not forced;
(c) The marriage contract should explicitly permit divorce at the wife’s instigation;
(d) The residence and support requirements should be substantially tightened and properly enforced;
(e) Residence should be granted initially for a maximum of 2 years. Permanent residence should not be granted until the couple have lived together in the country for at least 7 years;
(f) Those whose arranged marriages end in divorce should not be permitted to sponsor the immigration of further marriage partners.

8)Revoke the right of abode of foreign criminals

Any foreigner or person with a dual nationality found guilty of a criminal offence should have his right of abode or British citizenship revoked, and be subject to deportation to his country of origin. (To do this, it will be necessary to revoke Britain's Human Rights Act, which gives rights to criminals but not to their victims.)

9) Protect moderate Muslims from violent Islamists; protect Muslim women from violence

Violent Islamists threaten to kill those who leave Islam or who disagree with their views. Britain is a country with freedom of conscience, and we will protect those who leave Islam or convert or whose views differ from those of violent Islamists. The Government will refuse to treat militant Muslims as the Muslim minority’s spokesmen. It will suggest they leave for Muslim countries with sharia law.

The niqab will be outlawed. It is about enforcing separation, a way of intimidating their own women, a way to intimidate everyone else, and to make themselves more visible. It is not a religious symbol, but a separatist practice enforced by violence.

10) Follow Christ's teaching to "do good to those who hate you" (Luke 6:27)

Even as we respond to the threat, and make every effort to protect children and civilization from its violence, we must try to find ways to reach out personal affection and truth.

Helpful as the legal actions will be, we cannot live by law alone.

For fifty years we have been hypnotized into believing that Britain and Brits are always wrong. Listening to a warped story we have become weak and ill. We have heard enough about what we did wrong, and all too little about what we did right.

Britain has a luminous and compelling story. Brits have fought for freedom for more than a thousand years. They developed just laws and democracy, abolished slavery, invented much of the modern world, and creature a wealth of literature, music, art, and sports. Despite the usual roster of human imperfections, an extraordinary number of Brits have done great and good things.

1) Share the Story

We begin by sharing the true stories of courage and innovation, creativity and fortitude, tenderness, good humour, and spirit that reflect our powers.

To say that we have a story is to say that we have an identity. It is a remarkable, life-giving identity, though ignored by the political and media elites who seem to loathe freedom-loving people.

We will share these stories with everyone and particularly with children. Children especially need and deserve true accounts of idealism, courage, and achievement. Lacking them they become estranged from their country and community, and lose their sense of self and their courage.

We will teach children the stories and powers that will help them to succeed and be happy, that will help them to heal and sustain their country and the world. These powers are rooted in the belief that dignity, freedom, justice and reason are given to every man and woman by God, and that God calls us to use and defend them.

It is but simple justice to acknowledge the generations of people who created Britain and the social capital on which we depend for our safety, freedom, creativity, and prosperity. This affirmation is vital to our children's future.

It is time for Brits to end the false and weary cynicism that has put us all in mortal danger. It is time to recover our inheritance. It is time to stand up for our story.

2) End diversity indoctrination

The ideal of "cultural diversity" is an intellectual dead-end. It means nothing until the specifics of cultural diversity are examined in the light of reason and moral values and their contribution to the well-being of the individual and society.

Rather than teaching vague notions about diversity, we suggest teaching children and newcomers to Britain the profound achievements of Brits living in a free society. See LIBERTY! THE TIMELINE OR Freedom Is A Network

In an Alice-in-Wonderland world, multicultural thought insists that the new land to which an immigrant comes has to adapt to the immigrant. We affirm that immigration obliges the immigrant to change and assimilate to his new land.

Brits will make clear that though we aspire to tolerance, we are not so tolerant that we will tolerate intolerance. We must make it clear that despite 30 years of multiculturalism and cultural relativism, we are confident of the virtues essential to a free society.

The vast majority of Muslims in Britian – 84 per cent – believe they have been treated fairly in British society. But they also believe that multi-cultural policies emphasizing differences between people have divided them from British society. This separation is wrong, and must end.

In one of many small steps toward building a safe, fair, and tolerant society, burqas and niqabs will be banned. They are inimical to communication. They are also security risks.

3) End media bias

The false and relentless anti-Western bias among elites must be named for what it is – a threat to our lives and an attack on our minds. The juvenile eagerness of the media to promote both the EU superstate and Islam and to demean British and Judeo-Christian civilisation must be replaced with fair, objective, and hard-hitting reporting and analysis.

British media and the BBC in particular have been directly implicated in arousing Islamist violence by falsely slanting coverage of Britain, the United States, and Israel. The BBC is skeptical and adversarial about every British institution except itself, the European Union, and violent Islamists.

Instead of questioning, defeating, and discrediting terrorist ideas, much of British media promotes them. It does not demand accountability from violent Islamists for their denigration of women, their refusal to allow religious freedom or their violent response to perceived insults. Further, and possibly worse, the BBC does not communicate the ideas and feelings of moderate Muslims. Like much of the media, it has a predilection for blood and violence. It prefers to give the people circuses rather than news.

Glenn Reynolds trenchantly observes that "Terrorism is an information war disguised as a military conflict, and media coverage is an essential part of the terrorist plan." The media's supine manipulation by violent Islamists must end.

4) Engage in a dialogue based on respect and reciprocity

Engage in an authentic and sincere dialogue with moderate Muslims that is built on respect for the dignity of every human person, created in the image and likeness of God. Tell the stories of Muslim respect for life and Muslim heroism in the face of violent Islamists.

Dialogue requires mutual respect and reciprocity in all spheres. It requires the defence of religious freedom. It requires a home.

In his Nobel Prize acceptance speech in 1970, Alexandr Solzhenitsyn remarked, "Nations are the wealth of mankind, its collective personalities; the very least of them wears its own special colours and bears within itself a special facet of divine intention." The nation of Britain has a romantic, eccentric, brave, down-to-earth, and creative personality, hosts of interesting people whose liberty was paid for in blood and affirmed by law, beautiful and fertile country, and exciting cities. It has been a home where people could live with a sense of purpose and happiness, in freedom and safety.

As we write, Britain is being torn apart by the EU, which is dictating 80% of her laws; she is being sunk by the number of immigrants who are arriving daily, though some of them love her; she is being betrayed by her government, which is deliberately trying to destroy her memory, and to infantalize her people; and she is being threatened by violent Islamists. These threats are all interconnected.

Britain has a brilliant, thousand-year history of accepting immigrants who in the main have been integrated into British society. In the last thirty years, immigrants have been arriving at an unprecedented rate. More immigrants have arrived in the last thirty years than in all of Britain's previous history. A high proportion of these immigrants are Muslim, who have left their home countries to avoid the consequences of living in despotic states. Britain has no power to control this influx because immigration policy is decided behind closed doors by the EU.

About immigration it is fair to say that you would find it difficult if a dozen people you did not know suddenly arrived from abroad to camp out in your home, demanded part of your pay check while they looked for work, and had no interest in learning the customs or traditions of your house. This is the position today in Britain. Millions of immigrants from Europe, Asia, and Africa are arriving in every little town, city, and county, and you are expected to pay for their housing, child benefits, education, and medical care out of your salary.

No country can hope to assimilate millions of immigrants overnight, but the British government and the European Union insist that Brits will take them whatever the cost. The really outrageous aspect of all this is that among these people are violent Islamists who want to blow Brits up, and while they make their plans, Brits are paying for their living expenses.

We will respond to the combined threats of the EU, excessive immigration, and violent Islamists in these ways:

1)We Will Defend the British Constitution

The freedoms of Brits are confirmed in the ancient Charter of Liberties, the Westminster Council, Magna Carta, the Coronation Oath, the Provisions of Oxford and Westminster, the Statute of Marlborough, the Petition of Right, the Habeas Corpus Act, the Declaration of Rights, Bill of Rights, Toleration Act, Triennial Act, Act of Settlement 1701, Act of Union, Statute of Anne, "Hogarth's Act", the Great Reform, Municipal Reform Act, Suffrage, and Common Law. These charters, covenants, and laws affirm our freedoms, and establish just law, independent judges and juries, and representative government. They form the body of the British Constitution.

It is time for every British citizen to understand the British Constitution and to affirm that we will defend it.

2) We will elect MPs who will protect our Constitution and our country

Parliamentary politics have degenerated into egotistical competitiveness, internecine struggle, self-aggrandizement, and self-indulgence. At a time of national crisis, when our country is exposed to threats, this is suicide. We must elect MPs who love Britain, will defend the British Constitution, and will take Britain out of the European Union.

3) Britain will leave the European Union

Britain will leave the European Union which presently dictates her immigration and asylum policy, and is an immediate threat to the British Constitution. Britain will continue to trade with Europe, but her people will make their own decisions about their country's future. Parliament's simple repeal of the 1972 Act that took Britain in will bring her out of the EU.

4) Britain will secede from the European Convention on Human Rights and repeal the Human Rights Act

These allow vast numbers of people from abroad to flood Britain. They protect criminals while depriving the British people of their right to be protected from criminals. They make it impossible for Britain to secure her borders so those who would harm the British people are kept out. These flawed acts and conventions have been ordered by the European Union, but they are unnecessary since Britain's Constitution and Common Law protect individual rights and freedoms.

5) Britain's government will lower taxes and reduce excessive government regulations

Britain's government will lower taxes and reduce the excessive government regulations that depress an economy and raise unemployment. The static, socialist economy of France has sent many Muslim young men into the streets for lack of jobs, and has isolated them in ghettos. Britain must take a different road, and the best way to do that is to get government out of the road so the free market economy can move and work.

6) Britain will secure her borders

Britain will withdraw from the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees, an act ratified by Britain in 1955 when asylum seekers were rare. Britain will establish her own laws on who may enter Britain and who may become a citizen. This may sound unfriendly, but it is impossible to welcome into Britain everyone who wishes to come. Consequently decisions will have to be made on who and how many people can safely enter.

After a flurry of embarkation controls following 7/7 we find there is no check on who actually enters or leaves the country, so we do not know who is illegally overstaying, or should not have arrived in the first place. Again, controlling our borders may sound unwelcoming, but consider your own home. Do you want to host vast numbers of strangers all on the same weekend, and continue to be their host for years to come? Britain is larger than your house, but as a relatively small island there are physical limits to her hospitality. Let's keep Britain hospitable. Let's also keep her afloat, and safe.

7) Britain will regain her ability to defend herself from attack

There are those who believe using force is always wrong. We believe that using force to defend ourselves, our children, and our civilisation may be necessary. Deterrence by maintaining well-trained armed forces which are well-known to potential enemies is convincing in preventing war. It is essential in resisting attack.

Violent Islamists must be denied training, supplies, money, and time. British Muslims must say "Not in my name," and defend their country. Young men who go abroad to receive indoctrination and training from violent Islamists and who return to Britain must be identified, charged with conspiring to overthrow the elected government, and brought to trial.

Britain's Armed Forces will receive adequate support in force structure, equipment, numbers, and morale. Ditto her police, who will be depoliticised and who can at last be excused from their diversity training, and will return to patrolling the streets.

Britain will act with other nations to disrupt terrorist communication and financial networks, and to destroy physical infrastructures, weapons and training bases. At the same time, Britain will press for freedom of movement of people and goods throughout the West Bank and Gaza and the access of Palestinians with foreign passports who have a role to play in Palestine's economic development.

At home Britain will return to low-tax, small government policies. These lower the cost of capital and raise after-tax rewards, thereby increasing investment, productivity, and prosperity.

Britain will restructure her foreign aid to focus on achievable goals in helping establish prosperous and free countries with constitutional freedoms and just law, including property rights. In contrast to the EU, which is highly protectionist, and has damaged Third World peoples, Britain's foreign trade will be based on the principles of freedom and fairness. Further, Muslims are allowed freedom of worship in Britain, but Christians and Jews are not allowed freedom of worship in many Muslim countries. Britain must firmly demand reciprocity.

8) Britain Will Protect Our Lives and Our Civil Rights

Simultaneously Britain will act to defend her people with the truth and moral clarity that are as important as military force. We will protect the civil liberties and the lives of British people, among them moderate Muslims. We will protect our children before we lose them.

"The fruit of the Spirit of God is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfullness, Gentleness and Self-Control." Galatians 5:22-23.
