A new handAn award-winning British company, Touch Bionics, has developed an artificial hand which is vastly superior to the present types of prosthetic limbs. Called an i-LIMB, each of the five fingers is individually powered by a separate electric motor controlled by signals emitted from the skin’s surface. Looking and acting much like a real human hand, it will be released in 2007.
