Non-scientist makes number one medical advance since 1840
The British Medical Journal has just revealed the results of its poll which asked participants to name the number one medical advance made since 1840.
SANITATION, developed by Edwin Chadwick, a lawyer and writer with a scientific bent, was voted number one. He is described here
