Snowdrops
A new Scottish Snowdrop Festival runs until mid-March. The Telegraph mentions Castle Kennedy, Dunskey Walled and Woodland Gardens, and Cambo House as top snowdrop spots. Speaking personally, the snowdrops in my garden have been out for over a month, and show no signs of wilting. There are at least three different species growing, so they provide a succession of blooms in a carpet close to the stream. I always connect their plucky beauty with Britain's.
