Celebrating the Union
On 1st May 1707 the United Kingdom of Great Britain was created.
The Bruges Group, an independent think-tank, will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the creation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain with a festive dinner and speakers at Over-Seas House, London. The speakers include Lord Tebbit, Andrew Roberts, and the Countess of Mar. This will be a good night, the very night of the Tercentenary, 1st May 2007.
