Fair is fair, Mr Blair
In previous posts, I have been critical of Mr Blair's policies and his farewell speech in Sedgefield. I was reminded by recent letters to various American papers that many Americans regard Mr Blair as a friend because in the immediate and six-year aftermath of September 11, 2001, "Tony Blair was there for us more than any other foreign leader." Many Americans remain grateful for this. I was remiss in not saying so earlier.
