Bear Grylls made it
Bear Grylls, the British explorer, earned a place in the record books when he flew a petrol powered paraglider higher than Mount Everest. After months of training, he eluded hurricane winds and survived "temperatures of -76F (-60C) and dangerously low oxygen levels to reach 29,500ft. "It was," Bear said, "the hairiest, most frightening thing I have ever undertaken in my life." The photos in the Telegraph are stunning. The expedition raised money for Global Angels, which helps children in Africa.
