At Bury St Edmunds
Abbot's Bridge, Bury St Edmunds early 13th century Chroniclers living in the 13th century reported that the knight-barons reached a compact between themselves at Bury St Edmunds before they confronted King John at Runnymede. We’ve learned some things that have cast new light on this compact and our earlier posts about The Knight. We’ll report back to you soon.
