Brain drain
The Telegraph reports -
Britain is experiencing the worst "brain drain" of any country as highly qualified professionals settle abroad, an authoritative international study showed yesterday.. . .There are now 3.247 million British-born people living abroad, of whom more than 1.1 million are highly-skilled university graduates, say the researchers. . . Britain has now lost more than one in 10 of its most skilled citizens.
There are several reasons, obvious even to a bear of little brain, why brains are leaving Britain.
The good news? Surely that there are brains to drain. Possibly this is a key component of Gordon Brown's new foreign aid policy?
If so, it's not new. It has been going on for centuries, though back then they were not university graduates.
