Thank you, Veterans
London Mayor Boris Johnson launched National Veterans' Day in Trafalgar Square, and pledged that starting in November all injured war veterans will get free bus and tube travel in London along with veterans' widows, widowers and dependants, whether London residents or visitors.
Well done, Boris.
Blackpool was the host city of Veterans Day 2008. HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, who has been a quiet but faithful supporter of the armed forces and veterans, attended.
Thank you, veterans, for the sacrifices you have made to defend all of us and our freedoms.
