Alzheimer's hope
My co-editor is wary about medical breakthroughs until studies and peer-reviewed literature are firmly in place. In this case, I think it's worth noting that a new drug called rember has been developed by a team at Aberdeen University and tested on 321 people with early Alzheimer's. It has dissolved the tau fibres in the brain that contribute to memory and neuron loss and appears to have arrested the disease.
Time will tell. It's good to know the research is going forward.
