A great gold tally
Cyclists Victoria Pendleton and Chris Hoy clinched yet more gold medals for Britain. Christine Ohuruogu, whose career has not been without controversy, has just won the 400 metres gold in Beijing.
It appears that Britain has won her greatest tally of golds in a century.
Victoria Pendleton paid tribute to the team of people that helped her to improve her performance. With his third gold, Chris Hoy has become "the most successful British Olympian at one Games since swimmer Henry Taylor took triple gold at the London Games in 1908".
