BRITONS NEVER WILL BE SLAVES!

The BBC announcer barely manages to conceal his dismay that an old patriotic tradition has been revived on the last night of the Proms -

In case there is anyone else who doesn't like to hear Britannia rule the waves, we offer the consoling thought that the Royal Navy, later joined by the US Navy, abolished slavery and piracy so we are not slaves.
