Early days, but
Four days into the 495-mile trek across the Antarctic ice cap, Ben Fogle, James Cracknell and Dr Ed Coats "stretched ahead of their five rival teams in the Amundsen Omega 3 South Pole Race".
The trio, who have already covered more than 80 miles, are 355 miles from the South Pole. . .
If they keep up this pace, the race will not last a month. But the weather in Antarctica tends to be surprising and frightful.
