Geert Wilders and our freedom
Geert Wilders is a Dutch parliamentarian whose film Fitna calls Muslims to remove "hate-preaching" verses from the Koran. The Home Office has refused him entry to Britain where he was to show his film.
Mr Wilders was told that his visit would “threaten community harmony and therefore public security".
So, if Mr Wilders speaks freely and some people respond violently, it is Mr Wilders who is at fault?

And we thought the Norman invasion was a difficult thing to handle. Dear old England hasn’t seen anything yet, IMHO. It's a sad day when free speech buckles to threats by a Lord to bring out street rabble.

Hi -- I have to tell you that the response over here in the States to this is shock and disbelief. One blogger has suggested we should invade Britain, dig up Churchill's body, and bring it back here to rebury. I think he's kidding, but it give you an idea of the visceral nature of the response on the right over here.
