Treatment of the Gurhkas is reflective of a nation that has plummeted from a pinnacle of morality & self-sacrifice in 1945 to today's political correctness, self-interest & throw-away society; as clearly demostrated by that house of ill-repute's expenses scandal.
Personal priorities, before national needs - lead by example! Benefit dependency, expense dependency, EU dependency, pc dependency, hr dependency .........
Spend it on cleaning the PM's flat, spend it on MPs pensions; spend it on a private jet to pick up an undeserving low-life from Guantanamo with pc/human rights. That a VC holder should have dodged the bullets .... & have the temerity to live to an age where he requires medical attention is beyond the pale.
