Ascot
Queen Anne discovered for herself the open heathland so perfect for "horses to gallop at full stretch". In 1711 the first meeting at Ascot competed for Her Majesty’s Plate, which was worth 100 guineas. Seven English hunters ran three heats, each four miles long. So began one of the world's most famous race meetings.

You can't help liking the horse. His eye speaks volumes.
