The colour of the universe
British astrophysicians Dr Karl Glazebrook and Dr Ivan Baldry were both at John Hopkins University in Baltimore when they made the discovery.After studying the colour of light emitted by 200,000 galaxies they have combined them to produce the colour they dubbed 'cosmic latte'.
They were investigating the changing colours of the universe for what they reveal about the history of star formation.
