A hero - Louis Jackson
Louis Jackson, who has died at 87, won a Military Cross in Italy in 1945. He commanded a troop of tanks in the 4th Queen's Own Hussars (4 QOH) against three German companies. The fire fight was fierce, and does not make for easy reading.
After the war, Jackson became a merchant, a lecturer in economics, a husband and father.
Ave atque Vale.
