Making a perfectly beautiful pocket knife
The same way it was made hundreds of years ago.
Just before I go to bed I am startled and moved by the delicacy, complexity and integrity of Trevor Ablett's craft. I watch him at work in a gem of a video, and am charmed. I would like one of his little horn-handled pocket knives. I would use it and try hard not to lose it and it would become an heirloom, given at the end of life to someone careful and lucky, who would hold it in regard and call on it for quiet, practical help, and think sometimes on the man and the civilization that made it.
