The bishop's address and Prince William and Kate's prayer
Ruth Gledhill wrote sensitively in The Times about the Bishop of London's address to the newly married couple and the congregation, but I can't find the link. A quote from the bishop
As the reality of God has faded from so many lives in the West, there has been an inflation of expectations that personal relations alone will supply meaning and happiness in life. This is to load our partner with too great a burden.
Prince William and Kate's prayer, which we promised to give you in an earlier post is this -
God our Father, we thank you for our families; for the love that we share and for the joy of our marriage. In the busyness of each day keep our eyes fixed on what is real and important in life and help us to be generous with our time and love and energy. Strengthened by our union help us to serve and comfort those who suffer. We ask this in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Amen.

They set a wonderful example for young people everywhere, vows of love, marriage, and fidelity before God. Let's hope their example blossoms into a trend among the young of England and America.

The Royal Wedding showed Brits at their Best. Thank you for your posts.
Lots of my Texas friends were up in the wee hours watching, and we thought it was grand.
