One definition of British happiness
Is Welsh:
In a practical sense I set myself the task of doing a lot of traditional Welsh things involving choirs and coracles, lambing and mining, above all learning the language. My Welsh immersion has brought me unmitigated hwyl, for which “fun” is the bloodless translation. Even when I trespassed, at some cost, on to a Cardiff rugby pitch in spindly middle age. The resulting book was a heartfelt love letter to Wales in which I hope the hwyl bubbles to the surface. -Jason Rees
