A hero and a man afraid
Stewart Jackson MP has resigned to protest the government's refusal to hold a referendum on the EU. For Jackson, at least, the "baubles" of public office count for less than his integrity.
The Prime Minister, David Cameron, continues to sing the same dirge which British politicians have been singing since the EU began: Britain will be marginalised if we don't join or dare to leave the EU.
No, we won't. The British people will finally be able to make purchases free of EU tariffs, our trade with the EU will continue, and our global trade, free of EU regulations and tariffs, will grow tremendously.
Update: 111 MPs defied the whips and voted in support of a referendum. 483 useless MPs voted not to give the voters what is our due: a referendum.
