Planting an oak

And in the summer, children will climb its branches and sit in its shade.
Wreathed in coats and scarves, The Queen and Princess Anne have helped the Woodland Trust to plant an oak in celebration of The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Schoolchildren planted another 500 trees. It's all part of the Trust's project, the Diamond Jubilee Wood.
John Evelyn, who encouraged Brits to plant thousands of trees, loved the oak. Many people must agree because the oak is the national tree of England and America.
