Shakespeare Olympiad
The BBC will screen Richard II, Henry IV parts I and II, and Henry V, from late June on BBC2 as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Ben Whishaw will play Richard II. Jeremy Irons will play Henry IV; Simon Russell Beale, Falstaff; Tom Hiddleston, Prince Hal; Patrick Stewart, John of Gaunt; Julie Walters, Mistress Quickly; and Lindsay Duncan, the Duchess of York. . .all leaping on Shakespeare's high bar to our delight.
